The governing board of the Walterboro Colleton recreation and parks commission shall be composed of five members elected by the Colleton County council in the usual manner of elections to boards and commissions and these seats shall be numbered 1 through 5.

The four members whose terms expire in July of 1996 shall be re-seated by election of county council. The member who receives the most votes shall be seated for a term of three years. The two members who receive the next largest number of votes shall be seated for terms of two years. The fourth member shall be seated for a term of one year.
