The safety committee may choose to appoint an investigative sub-committee to include qualified citizens, where specific accidents/investigations may warrant special expertise. Any investigative subcommittee may consult experts and specialists as needed, so long as legally mandated confidentiality is restricted to members of the committee or its appointees.
