A. Within eighteen (18) months of the enactment of the ordinance codified in this chapter or within twelve (12) months of the date of employment, the animal care and control director and the senior animal control officer shall attend training as provided through the South Carolina Police Academy and be commissioned enforcement officers by the county council upon completion.

B. All other animal control officers shall complete such training as budget and staffing allow.

C. All employees of animal care and control shall attend such other classes and seminars and attain such certifications as budget and staffing allow in order to enhance services to Colleton County in the area of animal care and control. (Ord. 03-O-01 § 17, 2003)
