A. The Colleton County 9-1-1 department, hereafter referred to as the "9-1-1 department," is charged with the responsibility of naming roads and shall maintain a uniform system for such tasks.

B. Any deviations from this chapter must carry a majority vote of Colleton County council.

C. It is unlawful for any person to establish and name any new street or road, on any plat, by any marking or any deed or other instrument without first obtaining the approval of the 9-1-1 department.

D. A road name sign shall be provided for all streets or roads that meet the provisions of this chapter. (Ord. 99-O-30 §§ 1.1(A)--1.3, 1999)
