Title 11 ROADS, BRIDGES AND PUBLIC PLACES
Chapter 11.16 SPECIFICATIONS FOR ACCEPTING EXISTING ROADS INTO COUNTY ROAD SYSTEM
11.16.020 Meeting specifications--Inspection.
A. In order to meet these specifications, the private individuals may do
the work themselves or hire it out. Once the work is completed, the county will
inspect the street to be sure it meets county standards before it is accepted
into the system and maintained by the county.
B. If the individuals
prefer, the work may be done through the county. The road will be inspected and
a cost estimate provided. The estimate will be on a cost basis only; this is not
"for profit" work. The private individuals will then deposit the money into an
escrow account to be used by the county to perform the required work. The road
will then be part of the county system and will be maintained by the county.
