Colleton County is accepting resumes for an Events Manager at the Colleton Civic Center. We are looking for a dynamic self-starter with a passion for the arts including theater, music and visual arts who will need a degree of flexibility in their schedule to allow for managing weekend events in tandem with our sound and light technician. The role will require good communication with community members from a diverse range of backgrounds to ensure the facility provides opportunities for all to experience this unique civic space. The Events Manager will work hard to source and procure acts to perform in the auditorium to continue to increase the profile of the Colleton Civic Center in the local and regional arenas.
Requires extensive knowledge of arts and culture, strong communication, organizational and planning skills. Technologically competent with MS Word, Excel and Google applications in particular. Some background knowledge of social media operations, website management and an artistic eye a plus. Bachelor degree in an art-related field ideal. Pre-employment drug screen and a satisfactory background check also required.
