Adopt a New Friend

Colleton County Animal Shelter offers pets for adoption to the public. You don't have to be a Colleton resident to adopt from our shelter. Our adoption process is welcoming and simple; meet our pets, work with our team to find the best match for your lifestyle, complete our adoption agreement, pay the adoption fee, take home your new best friend! 

Shelter hours

  • Monday through Friday 11 to 3
  • Saturday and Sunday 11 to 2

Adoption fees

Canines

Includes spay/neuter, microchip, Rabies vaccine (3+ months), DHLPP vaccine and booster, Bordatella vaccine, Heartworm test, deworming

  • 6 months or older $90
  • Under 6 months $150

Felines $70

Includes spay/neuter, microchip, Rabies vaccine (3+ months), FVRCP vaccine and booster, FeLV/FiV test, deworming

Working Cats $25

For select cats who are not appropriate for indoor pets but are otherwise healthy and maybe friendly. Includes spay/neuter, Rabies vaccine, FVRCP vaccine and booster, FeLV/FiV test, deworming, ear tip for easy identification as a community cat
