Notarized Documents
We understand that you may be unable to sign probate documents in front of a notary at this time. Pursuant to an Order of the South Carolina Supreme Court dated 4/3/2020, below is an alternate signature page for any probate court forms that require a notary. Please print and attach to your filings.

Marriage License Applications
Please use the form below to apply for a marriage license. This form may be submitted by mail, email, fax, or may be placed in the drop box outside the Court. Please note, a $40.00 application fee must be received by the Court prior to the issuance of the license. State law requires a 24-hour waiting period between the filing of the marriage application and the issuance of a license.

FUNCTIONS & RESPONSIBILITIES
The Probate Court has jurisdiction over marriage licenses, estates of deceased persons, guardianships of incapacitated adults, conservatorships of the estates of minors and incapacitated persons, minor settlements $25,000 and less, and involuntary commitments of mentally ill and/or chemically dependent persons.
