Colleton County Government is accepting applications from qualified individuals for the position of Driver “A” in the Roads & Bridges Department. The successful candidate will under general supervision, drive and operate light to heavy trucks and motorized equipment for public works construction, maintenance, and repair; will perform work related to street maintenance, storm drainage, and other public works tasks as assigned.
The successful candidate must possess a high school diploma or equivalent and two (2) years’ experience operating heavy and complex construction and maintenance equipment (i.e.: Boom Truck, Frontend Loader, Backhoe, Track hoe and Bulldozer). Must possess a valid CDL Class “A” driver’s license and current medical certificate for drivers, and have a good driving record. Please submit a 10-year driving record along with application.
