Colleton County Awarded Certificate of Excellence in Financial Reporting
COLLETON COUNTY - Colleton County was recently awarded a Certificate of Excellence in Financial Reporting during the annual comprehensive financial report for the fiscal year that ended on June 30, 2024. This is the eleventh year in a row that Colleton County has received the highest form of recognition in the area of government accounting and financial reporting.
“We have a dedicated staff that works diligently throughout the year to ensure the financial security of Colleton County. This award proves our commitment to the citizens for transparency and fiscal responsibility. I offer a huge thanks to Becky Hill and Karen Waters for their contributions and congratulate them, along with others on receiving the award,” says Colleton County’s Finance Director, Jon Carpenter, CPA.
“Colleton County is strong! We have dedicated, hardworking employees that will ensure Colleton County will continue to grow into the future. It is truly amazing for eleven years in a row our County has received this prestigious award,” says Colleton County Council Chairman, Scott Biering.
