Colleton County Government is accepting applications for the position of Special Projects Coordinator. The successful candidate will be responsible for coordinating and scheduling events as well as youth and adult programs for the Recreation Department. Will handle all reservations for events that take place inside the Rec Center and at Dogwood Hills, as well as the picnic shelter located near the Rec Center. Will be responsible for procuring sports officials to include scheduling and insuring proper payment for duties associated with operating youth/adult sports including, Baseball, Softball, Football, and Basketball.
The position requires a high school diploma or equivalent with experience in planning, supervising and implementing a program or project or any equivalent combination of training and experience that provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities. Must have strong organizational skills, be a self-starter and people-oriented. Experience with community/recreation programs a plus. Computer keyboard skills are essential. Hours are flexible, but night and weekend duty will be required on a regular basis. Must possess a valid driver’s license with good driving history.
