Colleton County Government is accepting applications/resumes for the position of Tournament Coordinator. The position is responsible for coordinating, preparing, and maintaining all athletic facilities for baseball and softball tournaments while serving as the primary point of contact between the Colleton County Parks & Recreation Department and tournament directors, event organizers, coaches, officials, and facility renters. This position requires a motivated, self-directed individual who is committed to providing exceptional customer service and maintaining first-class athletic facilities. The position requires flexibility to work evenings, weekends, holidays, and extended hours during tournaments. Reports to the Parks & Recreation Director or designee.
Minimum Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Experience maintaining baseball and/or softball fields is required.
- Experience operating landscaping, grounds maintenance, or athletic field equipment preferred.
- Experience working athletic tournaments, parks, recreation facilities, or sports complexes preferred.
- Valid driver’s license with an acceptable driving record.
A satisfactory pre-employment drug screen and background check are also required.
