January 24, 2025 - The Small Business Administration (SBA) approved SBA loan assistance for victims from the November Edisto River Flooding (November 2024). The deadline to apply for physical damages to your home is March 24, 2025 and the deadline to apply for Economic Injury Disaster Loans for businesses is October 22, 2025. Colleton County Council is in the process of redistricting the County Council Districts based on 2020 Census data. The public is encouraged to review the proposed map. Colleton County Council will conduct a Public Hearing on January 26 at 5:30 PM. The Public Hearing will be held at the Colleton Civic Center Auditorium, located at 494 Hampton Street, Walterboro, SC. Comments will be heard on the redistricting of County Council Districts based on 2020 Census data. Due to Covid-19 precautions, masks must be worn and social distancing must be observed in the meeting.
